New Delhi: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s cow protection wing has asked the centre to create a separate ministry for cattle welfare urging the govt to set a deadline for it.
The VHP said that the creation of the separate ministry was essential to ensure a total ban on cow slaughter, beef consumption and protection of India breeds, which are on the verge of extinction.
Given the number of cow slaughter incidents in the country ever since 2014, it is necessary to form a separate ministry for cow welfare.
A senior functionary said that they will raise the issue of cow protection during the monsoon session of Parliament.
