New Delhi: An attack took place at one of the most safest prisons in Mumbai where 2 convicts indulged in a fight over some personal issue and attacked each other.

Arthur Road jail, Mumbai on Thursday witnessed a brawl when two convicts of the same cell. They attacked each other over some issue that they had. The victim Gopal Shetty who was in the jail for a MCOCA crime was attacked with a blade on the left forehead as well as the right elbow by Saleem Faizal Khan, another convict in the jail.


This incident raises questions on the security arrangements of the supposedly safest jail. This is the same place where 26/11 accused Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab was also kept.


The reasons behind the brawl are not yet known. As per sources both injured convicts were taken to JJ hospital and are reportedly safe.
