New Delhi: Two terrorists were killed by army in an ongoing operation near Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. 
An army officer said that soldiers of 17 JAK RIF intercepted a group of militants in Lachipora forest area of Uri.
“So far two militants have been killed during the gunfight”, he said.
In a similar attack, eight CRPF personnel were killed and more than twenty injured in an encounter in Pampore town of Jammu & Kashmir. The incident took place when the militants attacked a bus carrying CRPF personnel on the Jammu-Srinagar Highway.
As per the IG, CRPF, the two militants killed in the Pampore ambush appear to be Pakistanis and definitely from Lashkar and in all likelihood fidayeen.
In another incident, Shopian police busted the Hizbul Mujahideen module and also arrested three militants during the operation.
