Kerala: An elephant in Kerala died while crossing a train track in Walayar region in Kerala on Sunday. The train was running in full speed when it made a belated halt for the elephant.
Due to train tracks being constructed in the midst of thick forest and the frequent traffic on these tracks, many elephants become victim to these accidents.
The death of elephants, particularly in this type of accident, is a common occurrence in India.
