We have made all arrangements to evacuate stranded Indians in Sudan: Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday briefed the media on India’s plans to evacuate over 300 Indians stranded in Southern Sudan. The Foreign Minister had also met Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar, as India plans evacuation of Indian nationals in Sudan.
Addresing the media, EAM Sushma Swaraj said, “We have made all arrangements to evacuate Indians from South Sudan in case the situation deteriorates further. For us, security of Indians is of paramount importance. We have formed a task force to take stock of situation there.”
Sushma also said that according to the latest reports, there is a slight improvement in the situation there and the situation in Sudan is only getting better.
