New Delhi: In a new order passed by the government, women who face sexual harassment at government jobs will be able to take a 90-day paid leave, a period within which investigations will take place.

The Department of Personnel Training issued an order which said, ““The leave so granted to the aggrieved woman under this rule shall not be debited against the leave account.”

This order from the government follows that of complaints from victims of sexual harassment who alleged that the accused threatened or tried to influence them after they had filed a case against them.

This order was passed under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013.
