New Delhi: Ahead of 2018 Assembly elections, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee will address a rally in Agartala on August 9 to woo the voters of northeast. The venue of the rally is Astabal grounds where Mamata Banerjee will interact with the people.
TMC vice-president Mukul Roy said that the party is confident that they will get the support of the people of Tripura to extricate the Left in the state.
Tripura has almost 70 per cent Bengalis and TMC is working hard to win their hearts.
Mamata will be able to split Tripura Congress and set up her own base there, a senior Bengal Congress leader said. “She will be able to establish Trinamool Congress in Tripura by splitting the Congress as our high command is not taking any step to keep our party intact.
