New Delhi: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted near the Border Security Forces (BSF) camp in Imphal, Manipur went off on Wednesday morning, injuring three civilians in its radar. The blast occurred around 8.53 am on Wednesday. 

The blast occurred near the Moirang Purel village in the capital of the northeast Indian state Manipur.  Authorities believe that the blast was set off by local militants situated in the region. Among the injured, one was a 7-year-old child. Tinoi was rushed to the hospital immediately after the blast. 

Yesterday in Imphal, hunger striker Irom Sharmila had broken her fast after 16 years.
