New Delhi: At least four persons were injured in clashes that broke out in Kashmir’s Shopian on Friday. The incident took place at Baba Mohalla and Golchakri areas of the town.

Among the injured, one of them sustained injuries in the eyes. He was shifted to a hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.

The shutdown in the state continued for the 49th consecutive day affecting normal life in the Valley.

Curfew was extended without any relaxation in the areas of Anantnag, Pulwama, Badgam, Shopian and Srinagar city.

Meanwhile, separatists have extended the protest shutdown till September 1.
