New Delhi: After cancelling his visit to Russia and the United States in the wake of terror attack on Sunday in Indian Army’s Uri base in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, Home Minister Rajnath Singh delivered a hard censure to Pakistan for the attack on Indian soil.

Taking to social media site Twitter to express his disappointment with the Pakistani government, Rajnath Singh said, “Pakistan is a terrorist state and it should be identified and isolated as such.”

Paying his condolences to the family of the martyred soldier, the Home Minister said that the people behind the terror incident would be brought to justice.



Rajnath also confirmed that the four terrorists who had infiltrated the base were highly trained and were equipped with heavy artillery. “There are definite and conclusive indications that the perpetrators of Uri attack were highly trained, heavily armed and specially equipped,” he said.



Rajnath Singh held a security meeting in the afternoon to discuss the situation and the further actions which will be taken by the Indian Army. He did not resist from expressing his disappointment with Pakistan. “I am deeply disappointed with Pakistan’s continued and direct support to terrorism and terrorist groups,” said Rajnath.



On early Sunday morning, four LeT module terrorists entered the Indian Army base in Uri, Baramulla where they engaged in fire with the Indian forces. A total of 17 soldiers were martyred in the attack and all the four terrorists who had conducted the fidayeen attacked were killed.
