Guwahati: At least one person was killed and five others injured on Sunday night after a truck rammed into a car in Helam area of Assam, last night.  

According to reports, the injured were provided medical assistance and taken to the nearby hospital.  



Earlier, in another fatal accident on September 12, at least four students were killed after a truck rammed into the students SUV on the Assam-Bengal National Highway. 

As per a data, the frequency of traffic collisions in India is amongst the highest in the world. A National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report has revealed that every year, more than 135,000 traffic collision-related deaths occur in India.
