New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa who has been undergoing treatment since September 22 continued to improve, said Apollo Hospitals in a statement released on Sunday.

The hospital said British doctor Richard Beale who was flown in Chennai evaluated the various clinical reports and had discussions with the expert group of doctors treating the 68-year-old AIADMK supremo.

“Based on the detailed discussions, the current treatment plan including appropriate antibiotics and other allied clinical measure are presently being continued to treat infection, it said.

 It said that the CM is advised to stay a few more days to in the hospital.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday wished a speedy recovery to Jayalalithaa.

Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai following fever and dehydration last month.
