New Delhi: Delhi Water Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kapil Mishra created an uproar on Tuesday during his speech at the Bharat International Tourism Bazaar function in New Delhi when he questioned J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and said, “We can fight Pakistan, but how do we fight with people who give shelter to terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K)?”
Targetting the J&K CM, the Delhi Water Minister said, “It can’t be that you don’t accept Burhan Wani as a terrorist and then expect tourism to increase. Can’t you say that you don’t accept Burhan Wani as a terrorist and expect tourism to increase?”
Challening the J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti, Kapil Mishra said, “Mehbooba Mufti should answer my questions or quit.”
“Terrorism and tourism can’t go together. Mahesh Sharma said Kashmir is our pride, but terrorists are treated as tourists there,” Mishra added.
The controversial statement immidiately created ripples in the social media and political rivals latched on to the issue, targettng AAP for showing insensitivity towards the issues pertaining to the Valley.
