AmritsarWith only a few months left for the state of Punjab to go for the assembly polls, political leaders have already started shuffling between different parties to ensure maximum political gain.

As the state nears the forthcoming assembly elections, MLA Inderbir Singh Bolaria, former Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) member along with Upkar Singh former Amritsar SAD President have decided to join the Indian National Congress. Their inclusion may take palce on Dussehra, 11 Oct.

With the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also gearing up to aggressively fight the upcoming Punjab assembly elections, and with also the departure of Navjot Singh Sidhu from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), this new development of the two former SAD members joining the Congress party could turn tables for the BJP-SAD alliance in the state.

Also, there are speculations that Navjot Singh Sidhu, who recently launched his own political front ‘Awaaz-e-Punjab,’ can also join the Congress party following hsi meeting with Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, 5 Oct.
