Mumbai: A shocking CCTV video of a man committing suicide, which took place in September, by jumping in front of the metro train in Mumbai has surfaced now.

The CCTV footage shows a man calmly standing waiting for the train at Saki Naka station, when he suddenly decides to jump on the track and lie down in front of an approaching metro train. As per the video, it can seen that the man did not give any sign or indication for his deadly action.

According to reports, the man who committed suicide happens to be from Bihar. After the incident, metro services were halted for over an hour. However, the reason for his suicide is not yet known; also no suicide note was found from the victim.

A staff member of the Mumbai Metro had earlier said that the man was standing close to the yellow mark line and when the train arrived, he suddenly jumped on to the tracks.

This is not the first time when people have attempted suicide at metro stations. Earlier, a few months back, a 27-year-old man tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a Delhi Metro train but miraculously survived.

The incident took place at the Chandni Chowk metro station around noon on platform number one, an official of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) had said.
