New Delhi: Patna High Court on Wednesday granted bail to Rocky Yadav, son of suspended JD (U) MLC Manorama Devi and accused of killing teenager Aditya Sachdeva on Gaya road in May.
Shyam Sundar, the bereaved father of the victim, lamented that justice is denied to his son.
“We have all the proofs with us but still justice is denied. Money and power has again silenced the truth,” he said.
Sundar also appealed to the state government to end “jungle raj” in the state.
“It is a very bad day for Bihar. I appeal to government to take some measures to save Bihar from jungle raj,” he said.
On May 7 this year, Yadav gunned down 19-year-old Sachdeva who was travelling in his Swift Dzire with his friends for allegedly overtaken the former’s SUV on Gaya road.
Aditya’s mother said that court gave decision in Yadav’s favour without even opening the case.
“We’ve lost our child and he won’t come back but still we are looking for justice. He (Rocky Yadav) should realise his mistake,” she said.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in June assured Sachdeva’s parent that justice will be done in the case.
According to police, Yadav had also confessed of his crime.
