New Delhi: An encounter took place between Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers and Naxals in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Thursday evening.
Cache of arms and ammunitions including five detonators, three pipe bombs and gun-powers were recovered from the rebels by the security force.
There was no report of casualty on both sides.
Gunfight between the rebels and security forces in Chhattisgarh are frequent in the recent times.
Last week, troopers of 85th CRPF battalion recovered IED weighing 2 kg in the Naxal infested region. The bomb detection and disposal squad defused the explosives that were planted by Maoist rebels.
Earlier, a Naxal was killed by the personnel of security forces in an encounter. A .303 riffle was recovered from the slain rebel.
