New Delhi: A Bangalore-Jaipur bound Indigo flight on Wednesday has been diverted to Delhi due to low visibility at Jaipur airport in Rajasthan.

Flight 6E-641 was departed from Bangalore airport at 6:10 am.

Earlier, flights at the Guru Ram Dass Jee International airport in Amritsar were affected due to dense fog. Domestic and international flights arriving and departing from the airport were delayed.

According to met department, the fog at this time of the year with early winters setting in, was unusual.

Days after the Diwali festival, there are reports of smog due to air pollution across the country.

Delhi in the morning witnessed severe level of air quality, marked with low visibility, even three days after Diwali. The next three days are forecasted to be just as severe in the region.
