New Delhi: Pakistan on Tuesday violated the ceasefire again after they fired shots towards their Indian counterpart at Nowshera sector of Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir. This comes as the 110th ceasefire violation in merely two months.
One army jawan was martyred and another injured in the firing by Pak Rangers, police said.
Indian forces at Nowshera, a region normally susceptible to infiltration bids and attacks, are effectively retaliating at the Pakistani rangers.
As per defence spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta, “The Pakistan Army violated ceasefire in Naushera sector at 8.30 a.m.”
82mm mortars and automatics were used to target Indian positions in Laam area.”
