Srinagar: Security forces on Wednesday defused an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by suspected militants on a roadside in the Kashmir Valley, averting a major tragedy.
 
“A major tragedy was averted when the security forces detected and defused an IED planted on the road in Tutigund area of Handwara” in north Kashmir Kupwara district, a police official said. 
 
Yesterday, Pakistan had violated ceasefire at Nowshera sector of Rajouri district, J&K.
