New Delhi: With the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes still in effect in the country, lots of small businesses have been left in a lurch. For a tea seller who depends upon the exchange of Rs 100 notes at this time, the ban on Rs 500 and Rs 1000 has been heavy. However, this tea stall owner in the national capital seems to have understood the government’s intention.

Monu is a tea stall owner situated in RK Puram in New Delhi who has started accepting online payments for small transactions. Even for Rs 7 and Rs 15, if the customer is unable to pay because of no loose changes, they can make their payments online.

“Great gesture by the tea stall, paying for tea online is a big help considering the current cash shortage,” said one customer outside of the tea stall.

“Accepting online payments even for as less as Rs 7, my way of helping people and showing support for demonetisation,” said Monu.
