New Delhi: Amid chaos and panic over the demonetisation of high denomination currency notes, a bank employee in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday died after his health deteriorated while working in a bank in Bhopal.

The banker was admitted to a hospital where he took his last breath.

Days after the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes by the Narendra Modi-led government, people formed long beelines at banks to exchange and deposit their demonetised notes.

There were reports of vandalism and death incidents occurring across the country.

A newborn baby in Rajasthan’s Pali district died after the father failed to book any ambulance which would take the infant to the hospital.
