New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has been admitted to the AIIMS hospital after reportedly suffering from kidney failure. As per current reports, one of her kidneys has failed.

She is likely to be admitted to the hospital for few days.

On Wednesday, the External Affairs Minister tweeted through her Twitter account about her convalescence. “I am in AIIMS because of kidney failure. Presently, I am on dialysis. I am undergoing tests for a Kidney transplant. Lord Krishna will bless,” she tweeted. 



Sushma Swaraj was admitted to the hospital on November 7 at the cardio-neuro centre under the supervision of Balram Airan, Chief of the Cardio Thoracic Centre.

The minister has been suffering from diabetes for almost two decades.
