New Delhi: The Lower House (Lok Sabha) of the Parliament has been adjourned till tomorrow (November 17) moments after the commencement of Winter Session 2016 after giving obituaries to the former members who have passed away.

Mintues ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the commencement of the Winter Session said that he hope the session would have constructive debates and expect cooperation from all political parties.

As the political temperatures are already high post government’s demonestisation move, it is expected that the Winter Session 2016 will be a stormy one as the Opposition is ready to counter the government over poor implementation of its demonetisation.

Noticing that the move initially received mixed reactions from different political parties, but later after reports of people facing a lot of inconvenience while exchanging or deposit the demonetised currency notes, several political leaders started hitting out at the government.

Here are some of the political reactions before the commencement of the winter session:

* Our party is not against the demonetisation decision but the way it has been implemented: BSP Chief Mayawati

* We are not going for this march to the President (which is to be lead by Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to protest against demonetisation): Majeed Memon, NCP.

* Trinamool Congress (TMC) protests at Gandhi statue inside Parliament premises.
