New Delhi: The Patiala House Court on Thursday sent former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit’s son-in-law on one day judicial custody in a domestic violence case.

Syed Mohammad Imran was arrested in Bengaluru under the Domestic Violence Act and was brought in the national capital on transit remand.

Dikshit’s daughter Latika who has been separated from Imran for last 10 months accused her husband of domestic violence. In a complaint filed in June, Lakita said Imran took away jewellery and other expensive items from her residence.

Imran was charged with theft, dishonest misappropriation of property, criminal conspiracy, destruction of evidence and cheating and also under the Information Technology Act.
