New Delhi: The Howrah-Mumbai route rail traffic was disrupted on Sunday when at least 14 bogies of a goods train derailed near Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred after the Patna-Indore train tragedy which took place near Kanpur.
“The 14 wagons of the cargo train carrying ash-like substance and travelling towards Raipur from Bilaspur derailed between Silyari and Mandhar railway stations, around 22 kms away from here, in the wee hours,” the Hindu quoted a Raipur Rail division spokesperson as saying.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
