New Delhi: A bank was looted by unidentified gunmen in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. Four gunmen entered the Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch at Charari Sharif in Budgam and robbed Rs 12 lakh, police said. 

“Four gunmen entered the Malpora branch and made away with the money. A manhunt has been launched to nab them,” a police officer said.

The bank employees alerted the police after the incident happened.

An enquiry had been set to investigate the episode.

This is the second incident in two months after three masked men looted a bank on gunpoint and took away Rs 2.25 lakh in Kulgam district on October 25.
