New Delhi: North India was engulfed in dense fog on Wednesday morning. As reported the visibility was low in various parts of north India — Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh.

After a clear Tuesday, the minimum temperature on Wednesday dropped to 9.8 Celsius.

Train and flight services have also been affected by the dense fog. At least 40 trains coming to Delhi were delayed. Flights have also been delayed due to low visibility.

At least 7 people were injured after a bus collided with a truck in Mau district of Uttar Pradesh because of the dense fog.

According to Delhi Traffic Police, air quality in the capital is still ‘severe’ measuring PM 2.5 and PM 10 level above normal standard. 

Forecast by the Indian Meteorological Department predicts fog in NCR for the next 7 days.
