Chennai: In a dramatic turn of events, a judge of the Madras High Court on Thursday raised doubts over the death of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

Judge Vaidyalingam, a Madras High Court, clarified that this is his personal opinion and put it on record that he has doubts over the circumstances under which Jaya breathed her last. Vaidyalingam was hearing a petition demanding enquiry into Jayalalithaa’s death, in Madras High Court.


The Madras High Court Judge, who had made these comments in a petition, made these remarks on Jaya’s health saying that why her health information was not made public and raised questions as to why the central government kept quiet about it.

Post Jayalalithaa’s death, a lot of her supporters had also said that there was a need for an investigation into her death and all details related to her death should be put in the public domain.
