Jaipur: Five persons allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped a college student in a moving vehicle in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district on Wednesday. The accused also filmed the incident to blackmail her, says police.

Four of the accused have been identified as Arvind, Himanshu, Kuldeep and Vijendra by the police. One of the accused was not identified.

The accused abducted the victim, from Bagad area in a jeep and then took turns to rape her in the moving vehicle.

They also filmed the incident in a mobile phone and threatened to upload it on the internet if the victim reported the matter to anyone.

A case under sections 363 (Punishment for kidnapping) and 376-D (gangrape) of the IPC, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and the IT Act was registered yesterday over the statement of the victim’s father against the accused who are residents of Budhania village in the district.

Police has recovered the vehicle used in the crime and detained Vijendra for further interrogation.
