New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday kicked off his party’s campaign in Sultanpur as Samajwadi Party’s new national president. This was his first address after he won the tussle of power within the party.
This was Akhilesh Yadav’s first election rally in the state after he was coroneted as the head of the ruling party, replacing father Mulayam Singh Yadav.
While addressing the rally in Sultanpur, Akhilesh Yadav stated that the people of UP have already made up their mind and they will be voting for the ‘cycle’ symbol only.
Yadav further took a jibe on BJP party stating that they only gave a slogan of ‘ache din’ to people but ‘ache din’ never came. He further added that the Centre’s budget will be a look alike of Samajwadi Party’s work.
Lauding the developments done by Samajwadi Party in state, Yadav said, “SP Govt has launched a number of schemes to benefit the poor including helpline numbers for women in distress, ambulance services, etc.”
Uttar Pradesh polls will be held in 7 phases, starting from February 11.
