New Delhi: The Crime Branch of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against eleven people including Vijay Mallya and his company Kingfisher Airlines in a special CBI court in Mumbai.
Nine people arrested in the case were produced before the CBI court and asked for judicial custody till 7th Feb.
On Monday, CBI arrested four Kingfisher officials and four IDBI bank officials including ex-chairman of IDBI bank in the Vijay Mallya loan default case.
A team of CBI officials raided the offices of Mallya-owned United Breweries Group in Bengaluru.
The officials were quoted saying, “A 12-member team of the CBI is searching the offices in the UB City with a search warrant from a Delhi court. We are providing logistical support and assistance to the team.”
The arrests were made after the raids at 11 places including Vijay Mallya’s residence.
