The Karnataka Transport department on Friday issued a notice against the app-based cab aggregators Uber and Ola to withdraw their ride sharing facilities.

In retrospection, controversies faced by the state over the safety of passengers has ‘forced’ the Karnataka government to issue an order against the cab aggregators by saying that such facilities should not be continued.

Reportedly, the notice has been issued by the Karnataka Transport department to discontinue the services of ‘Uberpool’ and ‘Olashare’ provided by the cab aggregators.

The cab aggregators offer users to share their ride with another passenger which helps in cutting-down the user cost and further helps the aggregators in saving fuel and resources.
