Two men were injured on Tuesday night when a portion of a skywalk in Dahisar West, Mumbai collapsed. This incidence highlights the state of shamble the infrastructure of Mumbai has been thrown in.
Taking place near Dahisar West railway station in Maratha Colony, a portion of a skywalk fell off around 8:40 PM. Two individuals who were in the vicinity were hit by the falling debris. A 65-year-old senior citizen was seriously injured in the mishap.
The injured were taken to the Silverline Hospital where they have been declared out of danger.
The skywalk in question was built by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and was opened for the public in 2011.
