In another case of official government workers trying to flex their muscles and prove itself as more powerful than the rest, a former chairman of Gurugram Block Samiti was caught on CCTV thrashing a toll plaza employee for requesting his identity.

The incident, which is purported to have occurred on Saturday night, took place when one Gurugram toll employee asked two men in a car for their ID. Enraged by the request, the former chairman and his companion entered the toll booth and thrashed the employee.

On top of that, the duo vandalises the toll booth, breaking the registry machine and throwing a tantrum inside the booth.

Police have yet to arrest the duo.

VIP hooliganism has emerged as a menace in India where unwary regular workers bear the brunt of exploitation of power.
