The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), on Monday booked a Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) on the charges of illegally hoarding assets worth crores.
As per a report published by The Logical Indian, ACB found luxury cars like Mercedes-Benz, Skoda Octavia, Volkswagen Polo, Ford Ecosport and Mahindra Scorpio parked outside his 6 houses in six different locations. MVI Mohammed Ghouse Pasha lived a lavish life in comparison to his income.
After scrutinising for sometimes now, the ACB officials conducted a raid at ten different locations that includes LB Nagar, Malakpet, Moinabad, Bandlaguda in Karimnagar and Kothagudem. Most of the properties of Pasha were registered under the name of his family members.
Pasha does have a reputation of extracting money from motorists passing through checkpoints. He also allegedly collects bribes to propose applications for driving license and gravel documents.
The ACB officials have reported seized 1.7 kg of gold ornaments, documents related to an 18-acre farmhouse at Moinabad, 17 acres land in Jangaon worth Rs 1.69 crore, a shopping complex in Warangal and several open plots worth Rs 35 lakh.
