Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh on Saturday lashed at PM Narendra Modi’s economic blockade remark and said that this kind of statement is not expected from the PM of a country.
The Manipur CM seemed disappointed while countering PM Modi’s allegations that the Congress party is trying to divide the people of the state by spreading lies about the Centre compromising the territorial integrity of Manipur by signing an accord with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland — Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) insurgent group. He was quoted saying, “This statement was not expected from the prime minister of this country, this is big question to the prime minister and he should reply.”
CM Ibobi even accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of misleading the public of Manipur through baseless and wrong reports.
He even challenged PM Modi to prove the allegations that he made against the Congress-ruled govt in the state.
