Major trade groups in Tamil Nadu have decided to boycott Coca Cola and Pepsi from Wednesday in view of health and environmental concerns.

Leaders of Tamil Nadu Traders Federation (TNTF) and Consortium of Tamil Nadu Traders Association (CTNTA) have decided to go ‘swadeshi’ and asked shopkeepers in the state to promote home-grown brands as an alternative to these global brands.

As per the reports, More than 20 lakh shop will be forced to boycott Pepsi and Cola by TNTF and CTNTA. However, many super market of Tamil Nadu will not take part in the boycott.
