Saifullah’s father, the accused Islamic State (IS) terrorist in Tuesday’s (7 March) terror attack in Lucknow’s Thakurgaj area, has refused to accept his son’s body.
Saifullah’s father Sartaj said, “We only got to know about Saifullah and his activities last evening. We refused his body because he never listened to us. He would go against our wishes, I used to scold and beat him up too.”
“A traitor can’t be our son. We are Indians, we were born here, our forefathers were born here. One who indulges in anti-national activities can’t be our son … we won’t accept his body ,” Saifullah’s father added.
Earlier on March 7, while the police along with other security forces were trying to catch him alive from the Lucknow house, the police had spoken to his brother who asked him to surrender.
