To express the existence of free thought, lifestyle practice and to protest against the alleged moral policing by Shiv Sena activists, a‘Kiss of Love’ programme was organised at Kochi’s Marine Drive in Kerala on Thursday.

The ‘Kiss of Love’ event was notified by a group of people on Facebook after Wednesday’s (March 8) alleged moral policing incident by Shiv Sena activists who were trying to chase away young men and women at Marine Drive area.

The ‘Kiss of Love’ event volunteers hugged and kissed each other, showing an expression of protest against forced moral policing.

Earlier in 2014, a similar event was held in Kochi to protest against Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activists at a hotel in Kozhikode. 

Meanwhile acting on Wednesday’s forced moral policing, the police had taken 6 activists of Shiv Sena into custody.

According to some TV channels reports, a group of Shiv Sena activists used sticks to chase down men, women at Kochi’s popular tourist spot Marine Drive.
