Lashing out at Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader has threatened the CM by announcing a price reward of Rs 11 lakh to anyone who will serve him the CM’s head.

The outrageous threat came in from Yogesh Varshney, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.

The statements came in over the alleged police action on a rally which was held on Sunday to mark Hanuman Jayanti in Birbhum, around 180 km from Kolkata.

The leader alleged that the members of the rally were brutally beaten up in a baton charge by the police. Condemning the act, Varshney called Mamata a ‘demon’.

Varshney said, “When I saw the video, I only had one thought… that if anyone gets me Mamata Banerjee’s head I will give them 11 lakh.”

The leader added that all the slogans of ‘Jai Shree Ram’ raised during rally were by the devotees and not linked to any particular party.

Commenting on Varshney’s statement over Bengal CM, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that he does not support such statements.

Varshney further accused the Bengal CM of ‘targeting Hindus’.

Lashing out on Varshney’s outraging comments, BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said, “Don’t agree with such remarks, there is anger against Mamataji for her appeasment politics but cant support violence.”

The rally members were charged with batons after the police had refused permission for the Birbhum rally.

Recently, many clashes were reported from the state during the rallies organised to mark Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti.
