After stormy first four days, the fifth day of the Parliament Monsoon Session is underway in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha simultaneously.

Ahead of the monsoon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed all the parties to work together making it a productive season and take decisions keeping national interest in mind.

“I believe that all the parties, all the MPs, will take important decisions in the national interest,” said PM Modi.

Speaking to a media a day before the session, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad, said the situation on the border with China in the Sikkim sector is very tense even as he blamed Beijing for the boundary stand-off.

The Monsoon Session of Parliament is to be held from July 17, 2017 to August 11, 2017.

The party also slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his silence over the issue.
