The Indian Army on Thursday morning foiled an infiltration bid in Gurez sector of Jammu and Kashmir. As per reports, in the operation carried out by the Indian Army, at least 3 terrorists were gunned down. 

As per a defence spokesperson, the Indian troops noticed a suspicious movement along the LoC and challenged the intruders which was followed by a heavy firing.

“An infiltration bid has been foiled in Gurez sector. Three terrorists have been killed,” he said, adding the operation was in progress.

Previously on July 11, three terrorists were killed after Indian Army foiled their attempt to infiltrate the Naugam area of Jammu and Kashmir. A huge cache of weapons was recovered from the slain terrorists and the officials are carrying out further search operations.

On Tuesday morning, security personnel deployed at Indian borders were alerted by the local sources of an infiltration bid made by couple of militants in Naugam. The army acted swiftly on the matter and neutralised three terrorists, who were in the possession of war-like arms and ammunition.

Other food and medical supplies were recovered from them as well.
