Mumbai police in a major breakthrough arrested a man who was accused of attacking his employee with a knife when she demanded her salary. The accused, identified as Aniket Gaikawad was arrested within 24 hours after the incident took place.

The girl, who received minor injuries on her chin and neck, has been discharged from the hospital.

She was looking for a part-time job after giving her class 12th exam and decided to work in a tele-calling company but later left the job after working for a month. 

On July 27Aniket called the 18-year-old as she was expecting her month salary within the next 15 days and told her the wait is over, but instead of serving her right the 23-year-old slashed her face and neck. 

The police have registered an FIR against the accused Aniket under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder) and 326 (voluntarily causing grievous injury).
