Amarnath attack mastermind Abu Ismail has been named commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Kashmir, essentially making him the successor of Abu Dujana, who was shot dead on Tuesday in an encounter by security forces when he went to visit his wife in a village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Abu Ismail, the new chief of LeT in the Kashmir division hails from Pakistan and was the architect in organising the Amarnath Yatra attack in which seven innocent pilgrims lost their lives and 19 sustained fatal injuries.

Ismail has become the new face of LeT in Kashmir by replacing their top commander Dujana, who used to operate from the south side and was highly influential in orchestrating terror activities in the Kashmir valley.

As per reports, security forces are already conducting search operations in the southern region of Kashmir in order to hunt down the Amarnath attack mastermind.
