Indian right-wing organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Friday lambasted the Kerala government and blamed it for not taking the cognisance of the political killings in the state.

Addressing a press conference, senior RSS leader Dattatreya Hosabale directed a scathing attack at the ruling Communist Party of India – Marxist (CPI-M) saying that it is the talibanisation that’s happening in the state.

Kerala has witnessed 17 killings of the political parties and Hosabale stated that state government is not taking cognisance of these incidents. Further continuing the attack, he also accused the CPI-M for misusing the police machinery in the state and claiming it as the reason for why an independent inquiry is not taking place in the killings.

The RSS leader went on to say, “Constitutional and democratic condition in Kerala has deteriorated and if there’s a demand of Presidential rule in the state, we will support it.”

Also blaming the Pinarayi Vijayan-led government, Hosabale said, “They developed the Kannur model strategically and now they are turning Trivandrum into Kannur.”

Kannur has seen at least 65 political murders in the past half decade.

There have been several killings of RSS and BJP workers in the past one year and the most recent victim was RSS worker Rajesh, who was hacked to death on 29 July, 2017.
