At least one CRPF personnel got injured after a terrorist attack at a police party in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K)’s Nowgam district. 

According to reports, around 2-bike borne terrorists attacked a CRPF and J&K Police party near Nowgam Bypass and fled from the spot.  

Speaking on the incident, CRPF DIG Sanjay Kumar said, “One CRPF personnel got injured, he was out of danger.”

The police retaliated to the attack and the search operation is on to look for the terrorists. Meanwhile, the affected area has been cordoned off.  

Meanwhile, a militant hideout was also busted on Saturday in Rajouri district of J&K by security forces and a cache of arms and ammunition seized, official sources said.

“Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles and state police launched a search in Kalakote tehsil and busted the hideout,” Defence Ministry spokesman Lt Col Manish Mehta said.
