Congress leader Ahmed Patel after retaining his seat in the high stake Gujarat Rajya Sabha elections hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that it stands exposed of personal vendetta and political terror. People of Gujarat will give them befitting reply in this year’s election.
“Thank each MLA who voted for me despite unprecedented intimidation and pressure from BJP. They voted for inclusive India,” Patel added.
Emerging victorious in the Rajya Sabha elections, Ahmed Patel further said, “I thank all MLAs and leadership of the party. Everyone worked like a family.”
Mentioning that it was a tough election and everyone worked together, Ahmed Patel added that under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, the Congress party will be strengthened and we will win elections. Patel also thanked party President Sonia Gandhi for the victory.

Former Union Minister and Congress party senior leader P Chidambaram also hit out the BJP and said, “Money, muscle and manipulation couldn’t win. BJP can break few weak Congress MLAs, but cannot break the party.”

Apart from Ahmed Patel, BJP leaders Amit Shah and Smriti Irani also won the Rajya Sabha elections in Gujarat.
