At least three terrorists have been neutralised by the Indian security forces in an undergoing encounter in Pulwama area of Jammu and KashmirAs per the latest reports, the operation is still on and there are chances of one more militant in the area.

“All the three are local militants in which two had joined militancy in 2015 and one in 2016,” IGP Kashmir Munir Khan was quoted as saying about the ongoing Tral encounter.

The Army recovered 2AKs and one pistol from the ongoing encounter site. 

The search operation of the Army combined with Jammu and Kashmir Police was followed by this encounter which is still underway in Pulwama‘s Tral area. The Army is still looking for one more militant in the area. 

The operation was launched on the basis of some intelligence inputs.

Earlier today, the Indian Army spoke to with the media on the successful operation by the forces in Machil, where 5 terrorists were gunned down on Monday in an attempt to foil an infiltration bid.

“5 intruders took advantage of dense foliage, we launched operations to eliminate these terrorists and were successful, huge quantity of arms&ammunition was recovered also ration and medicines with Pakistani markings”, said RK Suresh of the Indian Army.

Arms, ammunition and ration in huge quantity were recovered from the encounter site after Machil operation.
