A pro-freedom movement is gathering pace in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) with J&K National Students Federation organising a massive rally in Jandali demanding freedom from Pakistan.
Launching the scathing attack on Pakistan, local leader Liyaqat Khan on Friday held a mass rally PoK area in Jandali district.
Addressing the crowd, Liyaqat Khan accused that Pakistan was involved in regularly sending terrorists to the area. “Pakistan sends terrorists here to ruin this peaceful place,” he said.
Notably, the people in the PoK region have been raising concern and have held the similar protests in the past as well.
Earlier in July, the local leaders had organized a rally against the political and military establishment of Pakistan. The locals have alleged that Pakistan was trying to convert the POK into a terrorist factory by creating terrorist camps in their area.
Reportedly, Pakistan has been using the PoK area to create launch pads for terror outfits in the region.
The development comes a day after, a leader from the Khber-Pakhtoonkhwa province bordering Afghanistan said on Friday asked Pakistan to let Kashmir be free by withdrawing from the region.
“Why don’t we adopt a new policy on Kashmir? Let Kashmir be free from both India and Pakistan. Why not we take the first step to solve it?” asked Pakhtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai reported IANS.
Pakistan holds the northern third of Jammu and Kashmir while India controls the southern two-third. Both countries claim the whole of the state.
